Please forgive me for jumping on an old thread, but I am just now experiencing this issue. If you are not working with custom content, you should avoid the Add Content button and stick to the steps I outlined above. This is a separate mechanism that allows customers to include their custom content in place of or in addition to the default Revit content. Steps 1 through 5 get you back to a state where Revit is aware that no content is installed and subsequent attempts to add content should be successful.Īlso, if you are being prompted for a XML file, that means you click the Add Content button. This is necessary because you are currently in a state where Revit is incorrectly under the impression that content installed properly. The key here is to remove all content before attempting to reinstall it. When the updating process is complete, click Finish. At the Add or Remove Content page, enable the checkboxes for each content pack that you want to install, then click Next.Ĩ. When the updating process is complete, click Finish.ħ.
